Nothing improves the stress of a fast-paced office environment like a party. While an office party for Christmas, Halloween, and birthdays are common, what about a random office party just because. Depending on the type of work environment will play a major role in the type of office party thrown. Throwing an office party will take some effort on behalf of the workers but is worth the effort.
The party themes for an office party are unlimited for instance: a tropical theme, a Roaring Twenties theme, a Hippies/1960s theme, a Pirate theme all work great.
Office Party Games and Activities - No office party is truly complete without a wide variety of party games and activities for employees to participate in.
Start the White Elephant in the room game by asking everyone to bring a gift that works for either sex and be sure to set a price limit. Have everyone draw numbers out of a hat to determine what order they will go in. The first person starts and takes a gift from the pile. The second person has the option of taking a new gift from the pile, or stealing the gift from the first person. For those who do steal the gift, the first person goes again by picking a new gift from the pile, or stealing their gift back. All gifts are subjected to theft, but each gift can only be stolen once by the same person. The game continues until everyone has a gift.
This is a really great game: have each employee write down random facts about themselves. Create an anonymous list of all the facts and a list of everyone participating. Pass the list out and whoever correctly matches the most facts to people wins.
For even more fun try Coffee Cup Ping-Pong, starting with an empty coffee cup place on a table or desk. Try and bounce a ping-pong ball into the cup. This is a very simple, yet challenging party game.
Two Truths and a Lie: Each person reveals three facts about them, two of which are true, one of which is a lie. Write down the two truths and a lie on a chalk or dry erase board. Have the rest of the employees guess on which is the lie.
Find Your Mate: Pass out cards to each employee with the name of an animal on it. Have employees ask each other questions during the party and see who can find their mate. Ensure there are an even number of players so each employee can find their mate.
Be sure and have some good party favors and awards like gift cards.
