Setting Up a Labor Day Theme Party

Labor Day can be a time to relax and have a leisurely day, or a time to throw a great Labor Day theme party. A nice comfortable day would offer the chance to play some golf and so sending out Labor Day invitations to have some friends meet up for a round of golf. The invitations could be done in several different styles or ways, for example one could be done with green paper, a pair of golf clubs and the detailed information. First to invite the golf buddies to the course and second to the house, where those not inclined for golf could meet. In the end, everyone will be meeting at the house.

While the men are golfing, the ladies might stay home and prepare the Labor Day theme party bash - or vice versa, depending on who likes playing golf. Meaning a list of Labor Day party supplies is going to be needed for the eventual house party. Keeping with the idea of golf on labor day, a nice shade of green table cloths to cover up the picnic tables. Second is the table decorations, going with something in red, white and/or blue is a good starting point, such as candy dishes.


Out in the backyard setup a miniature golf course for those who are interested in playing. Party supplies and decorations could, of course, extend to the backyard course for this Labor Day theme party. The course will need to be marked, use green streamers to line the path to each hole. As one option use plastic cups for each hole in the course, building a platform to place the cup inside otherwise dig a hole. The platform area can be expanded into a rectangular section lined with green felt to be attached to the top facing side of the built box. Once in place add a course lining of bumper wood, this could include different angles on the corners. Additional party supplies will include some green welcome mats, these make great roughs just cut to designed design and size. It's fun to add obstacles to create more of a challenge as the guests play.

Prizes for the Labor Day theme party are always a great idea for the winners. The winners will a green bag filled with various goodies as a reward for finishing in first, second or third place. Now the bag could be filled with a couple of golf balls, some pencils, various types of candies and a free play of miniature golf.
