The Perfect Baby Name That Is Right For You

When you are expecting people have all types of ideas of the perfect name for your baby. You have to choose the perfect name for you. This is the name that you and your baby is going to have to live with for the rest of you life. Here are some ways people choose these perfect names.

Honoring the ancestors by using family names is a time honored tradition. Many times these names are used as first or middle names. Parents have been known to take one name from one grand parent and another name for the other to create the baby's first and middle name. If grandparents are not an option people also name their children after other people who have made a positive influence in their life. Often times a baby's name becomes a way for their parents to honor for an adult.

There are dozens if not hundreds of baby name books that parents can choose a name from. These names books have tons of names to mix and match. The main reason for taking time to choose a name is to find one that you and your child will love. The only downfall to these books is the odd of the names being original are impossible. The names are in the book because someone else has them; however you can find names that are far from common. If you use these baby names they are vey close to being original.

It is not unusual for children to be named after parents. This is when you have Jr. and Sr. or the Ist, 2nd, and 3rd. This means that the name has been handed down through the families' generations. While this practice is very popular with boys, you sometimes find a girl named after her mother or given a feminine version of her father's name. It is almost given that the first born boy carries some part of is father's or grandfathers name.

People are sometimes such devoted fans of a celebrity that they will name their child after them. Some may hear or see a name in public or on TV and decide to use that name for their baby. If you are going to do this it is important to get the spelling correct or you will be naming your baby the wrong name and people will go through life calling the baby by the wrong name.

In the end, the parents must believe in their choice for a name. Even though people have their opinion about things in the end it is your final decision.

There are a few things I want to consider when choosing the name for your baby. They will have to learn to spell it and write it in Kindergarten. And most importantly people will need to be able to get a grasp of the baby name in order to call it correctly.
